KUWAIT: Fawzi Al-Kharafi has been selected as the new chairman of Al-Kharafi Group, replacing his recently deceased brother Jassem, Bader Al-Kharafi, member of the Executive Committee of Al-Kharafi Group confirmed yesterday.
Fawzi Al-Kharafi had previously served as deputy chairman. That role will now be taken over by Mohannad Mohamed Al-Kharafi, who was appointed as deputy chairman yesterday.
All other positions at the group remain as they were, reflecting the depth and stability of the business, Bader Al- Kharafi said. He also noted that there were no changes in the firm’s policies for the coming period. Al-Kharafi family has stakes in a number of high profile Kuwaiti companies including telecommunications firm Zain and construction firm Kharafi National. — Agencies
