Kuwait Times held the award ceremony of its annual students’ art competition ‘Kuwait Beautiful and Green’ on Saturday at the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa. It was held under the patronage of Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs and sponsored by Chevron, Zain Telecom, Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa and Motiva Agency. This year, over 8,000 students aged 6 to 18 from over 80 public, private, Arab, foreign and special needs schools took part in the competition.

Fatma Abdullah Qaseem from Khalifa School was one of the 10 winners in the special needs category. The 11-year-old student was happy to be a winner in this competition. “I drew the Kuwait Towers, green grass and plants and a boy and girl in my picture. My teacher helped me by giving directions as I painted it in school,” she told Kuwait Times.

Kuwait Times would like to thank each and every person who participated in this event, and we hope to see you all next year.
